Performances at: City of Las Vegas The World Theater at Cal State University, Monterey Bay, The Levitt Pavilion-Pasadena, CA Historic Sutter Creek Theater in Not only is your group comprised of gifted
musicians, you are all truly wonderful entertainers.” “Every aspect of our collaboration from start
to finish was highly professional, as well as
the band’s presence on stage.” “Not only did you sell the place out, we feel you were
among the most entertaining acts we have
provided to our audiences in some time.” |
In the great tradition of the folk groups of the 60s, The Folk Collection entertains with its own unique blend and sound, and with a repertoire that is familiar to audiences of all ages. Tony Unger, Ed Labowitz and Mike Sirota, along with bass man Bob Packham, sing songs of the 60s and early 70s era, reflecting their love of the story songs and three part harmonies of that acoustic era. The Folk Collection’s shows are family friendly and are for a multi-generational audience. Even some teen-agers, who have attended with parents or grandparents, come away smiling and humming tunes they just heard and sang along with at the show. From “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “This Land is Your Land,” “City of New Orleans,” to John Denver classics, The Folk Collection’s shows are nostalgic and entertaining, combining a high level of musical professionalism with family-friendly humor. It’s O.K. to sing along…most people do! Watch a live performance of The Folk Collection singing "Greenback Dollar" |
