GRAMMY Nominees, NAMMY Winners, and Canyon Records Recording Artists Mary Redhouse & Will Clipman (aka one-half of The R. Carlos Nakai Quartet) have finally teamed up as a duo! Dine’ (Navajo) singer, Native American flutist, bassist, keyboardist, and guitarist Mary Redhouse and pan-global percussionist/drummer Will Clipman take the audience on an intimately adventurous sonic journey that features Mary’s ethereal yet earthy five-octave vocals and masterful multi-instrumentalism, impeccably partnered by Will’s exotic and melodic deep-pocket grooves, resulting in a fresh and funky sound that can only be described as global native fusion!

Mary Redhouse is member of the Dine’ (Navajo tribe). She has a Native American Music Award and Grammy nomination for her work on the R.Carlos Nakai Quartet’s Canyon Records release People of Peace. She works as a soloist or with the Canyon Records artists: R. Carlos Nakai Quartet, the William Eaton Ensemble, the Redhouse Family Jazz Band, and Ananeah (Singing Wolf Records). She also works with the Larry Redhouse Trio and saxophonist Oliver Lake (Passin’ Thru Records).Mary is a versatile vocalist, Native flutist, electric bassist, guitarist, and keyboardist. She calls her vocal style “eco-spiritual” because it blends Native chants, bird and animal calls, and multi-octave scat lines. Her guitar playing is influenced by Latin jazz, bluegrass and folk. Together with her use of the Native flute, electric bass and keyboards; she and world percussionist Will Clipman create soulful Native world music. Her “eco-spiritual” vocalizations blend Native chants, bird and animal calls, and 5-octave scat lines that create ear-twisting, otherworldly melodies and timbres.. .

Will Clipman recorded over fifty albums, including twenty-one for Canyon Records, where he is regarded as the house percussionist. In addition to Redhouse & Clipman, Will performs and records with The R. Carlos Nakai Quartet & Trio, The William Eaton Ensemble, Gentle Thunder, Ananeah, Quiet Fire, Sacred Clay, Great Mystery, and The Conrads. Will’s music has been honored with two GRAMMY Nominations for Best New Age Album; two NAMA Awards for Best Instrumental Album and Best World Music Album; an ISMA Nomination for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album; and a TAMMIE Award for Best Drummer.
